Profile

The Amvic Insulating Concrete Formwork (ICF) system is the ideal method for building fully waterproof basements and earth sheltered homes.  Compared to other types of construction method, Amvic ICF basements offer many advantages:-

 

  1. Waterproof.  When filled with the appropriate concrete mix, the Amvic ICF system forms a completely waterproof wall, and that’s guaranteed!  No external or internal tanking membranes are required.

 

  1. Strong.  It is easy to incorporate reinforcement within the Amvic ICF system prior to filling it with concrete, thereby making the construction of a strong reinforced concrete basement quick and simple.  We have built basements six metres deep - such is the strength of this method of construction.

 

  1. Flexible and Easy to Design.  The Amvic ICF system can be designed to support ANY form of above ground construction, not just ICF.  Traditional brick and block and timber frame can easily be built off an Amvic ICF basement, the choice is yours entirely.

 

  1. Cost Effective. Using Amvic is one of the most economic ways to build a fully waterproof basement, which is why over 50% of our clients choose to incorporate one into their project.

 

  1. Supply and Install Services.  We don’t just supply the Amvic ICF system, we install it too, including the structural base slab and ground floor over.  We will also take care of the engineering design for you as well.  And all our basements come fully warranted against any groundwater ingress.
